What is the format of Six Nations 2022?
Taking place every year from the first weekend of February and usually ending at the end of March, the tournament is contested by international teams from France, England, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and the Country of Wales.
Each Six Nations team plays the other five once per season with alternating home advantage, giving a total of 15 games per league. A win earns that team four points, while a draw earns two points for both teams.
A losing team receives no points, but a bonus point can be reclaimed by a team whether they have won, lost or drawn if they score four or more tries in a match. Losing teams can also earn two bonus points if they score four or more tries in the process and lose by a margin of seven points or less.
The team with the most points of the season wins the Six Nations Championship Trophy, and five victories earn the prestigious Grand Slam.
