Video game space battles are on the way


A new Star Wars video game will put you in the cockpit of an X-Wing fighter or a TIE fighter.

“Star Wars: Squadrons,” due October 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, will allow players to take flight in five-on-five multiplayer dogfights and progress through a story as a pilot for the New Republic. or the Empire.

Beyond the multiplayer action, the game’s story will have each player spending time fighting for the New Republic and Empire, with two different customizable pilots. Along the way, players will encounter new original characters and well-known Star Wars characters.

Players will be able to earn weapons and other gear to upgrade their ships and obtain items and upgrades to equip ship interiors and pilots.
